3 Uncommon Wellness Topics Your Team Needs To Address

There is an important difference between health, and wellness, but differentiating between the two is actually quite easy. On one end of the spectrum, we have health — which is simply the absence of disease (the exact definition changes based on who you ask). The other side is wellness, which encapsulates an individual’s entire lifestyle. Dietary habits, activity levels, sleep hygiene, stress management, sociology, psychology, psycho-spirituality, financial wellbeing, emotional intelligence, etc.

You can have six pack abs, eat copious amounts of kale, and destroy triathlons — but have not maximized your wellness, or potentially still not be healthy!

So getting your team accustomed to a strong wellness culture will not happen with more water challenges, having a gym, and putting some healthy food in the cafeteria. These are all amazing initiatives — ones in which you should definitely consider — but are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to increasing your team’s wellness status.
