Getting our team excited about a new wellness program can sometimes prove to be much more difficult than we anticipated. After all, we took the time to design something fun with the intention to help our team improve their health. We’re passionate and excited ourselves, so everyone else must be just as enthusiastic, right!?
Well, not so fast. It turns out that when we seek to make drastic improvements in our teams health and well-being, it takes much more than just launching something we think is going to be awesome. It takes research, and even then, how we position the offering is likely to greatly influence the buy-in of the team.
They need to feel compelled to change, and they want to be part of something bigger than themselves. Their health habits are one part of this, albeit a very important part.
