One of these things that I would rather play devil’s advocate on. If I look at a screen for too long, I blink less, my eyes get dry, tension builds around my forehead, and I have a harder time falling asleep if using electronics before bed.

Let the record show I am also near sighted, and wear glasses (Warby Parkers actually — just not with their blue light blocking lenses!) Definitely won’t take things as far as Dave Aspery does and rock those yellow lenses all day long though!

Everyone has a different perception-response spectrum, so not saying that I am right. So I would rather do my best at listening to my body, take precautions, and act accordingly. I don’t want to wait for science to catch up in this regard. If it unequivocally comes back: screens are fantastic — look at ’em all day long — well hey, I’m not at any loss whatsoever. Unless screens made our eyes better…

Still a great article Kelli, and lot’s of research to be done. Definitely interesting topic to get a conversation on!

Thanks
